About us

We bought this farm in 2018 to find peace and space in beautiful Zeeland.
We have renovated the former stable behind the house and we would also like to start a Bed & Breakfast so that you can also enjoy the beautiful island of Schouwen Duiveland.

At the beginning of 2024 the time has come to start our B&B La Grange. We find it very exciting and are curious to see how it will all turn out. You are welcome!

It is pleasant to stay in our residential area Elkerzee. The village has about 50 residents. There used to be a church with cemetery, a pub, a school and of course a baker and butcher. Unfortunately, the village was virtually lost due to the flood disaster of 1953, except for a few houses, such as our old farm. The village has therefore 'moved' to Scharendijke.

Further down the street you will find the pancake mill 'De Lelie'. This can be visited at certain times. The beach is a 10-minute bike ride away and in the village of Scharendijke you will find several restaurants and a supermarket.

You can walk in the area along the canal through the polders, in the forest at Westenschouwen or the Burgh-Haamstede forestry.
